Thank you for reaching out. Amazon is a wonderful place, but also a place that competitors can actually use reddit to hire people to leave fake reviews. We haven't been able to uncover a way to stop it...but, we are actively working with our Amazon team to make the review system a better, more reliable place. We enjoy the reading some of the crazy stories on Amazon review...the one about mold spores is especially funny...we don't have mold or fungus spores in our plant foods :)
That said, we have a 4.5 rating on Amazon with over 3,000 reviews...our products do wonderful things.
We have done extensive testing and haven't been able to kill any plants, even dumping an entire shaker on one plant. BUT, if your pots don't have drainage, you can easily create septic soil in which the nutrients and beneficial fungi will all start fighting each other in the soil.
Punch line: There are so many factors that go into a healthy plant. Good plant food is only one of them. Make sure you plants are in the right amount of sun, you water appropriate amounts (many people 'over love' their plants with water, and ensure your pots have the ability to breath (drain).
With Joyful Dirt, your plants will need less water, and their root systems will expand meaning some plants will need larger pots quicker than they would have without Joyful Dirt.
Joyful Dirt by itself will not kill any plants...that is exactly opposite of our mission!
